Spa pool size can be measured in a few different ways: by seat count, by volume or by external dimensions. The best spa pool for two people will obviously have at least two seats, but may have even more: extra seats give you more space to stretch out, and they can come in handy when you entertain.

Choosing the best spa pool size ultimately depends on the specific area you intend to place it in. You need to consider available space, accessibility, privacy, ideal shape and proximity to your house.

The amount of power a spa pool uses depends on its size, build quality and the technology found inside. 2 person spa pools are the smallest in the Hot Spring range, and with less water to heat and fewer jets to power, they will naturally use less electricity than larger models.

But exactly how much electricity your spa pool will use also depends on how and how often you use it, your local climate, and how protected it is from the elements.

You may be able to place a 2 person spa pool on a deck or balcony – it just depends on how strong those structures are.

It’s important to note that the dry weight of a spa pool is significantly lower than the weight of a spa pool that is filled with water and people. In the case of the Hot Spot TX, a 290kg dry weight increases to a 1,165kg filled weight (a calculation that includes 2x 80kg adults soaking).

A well built deck or balcony should be able to handle this weight, but it’s wise to get a professional like a structural engineer to check the structure and confirm that it will be able to support the filled weight of your chosen spa.
